Ambassador Language Course is a home-based English tutoring course located in the wonderful city of Yogyakarta. This small operation runs out of a little house where one of the rooms have been converted into a little classroom that could fit up to 7 people comfortably. The air-conditioned classroom is also equipped with a TV and a computer with internet access, which allows the tutor to present a variety of multimedia materials in the class.

At Ambassador Language Course, students can join any one of the available classes, create their own group, or request a private 1-on-1 class. These classes last 90 minutes and will meet 20 times in the course of 2 months (5 classes per two weeks). The classes will either meet on Mondays – Wednesdays – Fridays, or Tuesdays – Wednesdays – Fridays. The course will be closed on Saturdays, because life is more than just learning English.

Under normal circumstances, a particular level, for instance, the General Elementary level or the IELTS Introduction level, will last 4 months. There are a total of 16 different levels offered by Ambassador Language Course: 6 general levels, 2 TOEFL PBT levels, 3 TOEFL IBT levels, and 5 IELTS levels.

Students intending to take particular level must indicate it by ticking the appropriate box on the application form and go through a placement test. After they go through a short placement interview, they will be notified when their class will begin.

The classes operate under a “Time Slot” system, which follows a first-come-first-served principle. This means that a specific time slot will be given to students who first requested for it. The available time slots are:

Classes are taught by a tested and proven tutor, who will ensure that students of every level will experience improvement with every session. The classroom itself is a comfortable air-conditioned room equipped with a TV connected to a computer for multimedia utilization.

How much does it cost?

The fee will vary depending on the type of class applied. You can check out our pricelist here. Please note that the course fee doesn’t include course books, which students can purchase from the language course. On top of the course fee, there will also be a fixed registration fee of Rp.50.000 to be paid before getting the placement test.
