Testimonial: Budi Santosa Sitoputra, S.Si (UGM)

From time to time we'll post some success stories from people who felt that they've been helped by the classes they had with Ambassador Language Course. This time, it's a little story by Budi, someone who wasn't really a student, but had several specified sessions where we worked on preparing for his speech competition.

What's amazing was that he nabbed 1st place, taking home the much-coveted trophy and prize money. Budi's a wonderful and lively chap, and he's been promoting our course everywhere after winning the event. Here's his story:

BUDI'S WIN

 

Mr. Jason, ...hmmm,...How should I begin my story? Ok, well, I first met him at a language course where he was working at the time, and from there we never saw each other again for several months. Until one day, I met him at a church with his family, and then that’s when I got his phone number. I later contacted him via WhatsApp, because I needed someone to help me go through my speech script (I was a participant of a speech contest at the time).

One word that could describe the few sessions that I had with him for my speech contest prep is ‘AWESOME!’. He had a keen eye for spotting things beyond what I wrote, and was able to give me alternative perspectives that would make my idea stronger in its argument. Regarding his English language capabilities, I say there’s no doubting it, he’s the real thing. He wasn’t at all reluctant to stop and help me go through word–per-word pronunciation and how to put the correct syllable stresses, and he also helped me develop the style for my speech that I’m most comfortable with - and not to simply copy anyone else’s style. So, thank you, Sir!
