Time for a little end-of-the-year Christmas getaway

So when my parents asked us if we wanted to come along for a family trip to Australia, I said 'yes' without thinking too much about it, not really expecting that there would actually be purchase of plane tickets shortly after. I mean, you know, sometimes people do that, right? Actually, I'm not sure if westerners do that, but we here in Indonesia do say things like that and not mean it. We even have a technical term for it: "basa-basi". And then I saw the plane tickets. It was a pretty surreal moment. wow.

But at the back of my mind, I kinda was thinking that we probably still won't be going because of how famously difficult (and expensive) it was to apply for an Australian visa. I figured our visa application would be rejected, and then life will resume it's normal flow (I guess I'm not at all an optimist). It would be a good thing too, because, you know, we all have obligations, and I'm not exactly rolling in money here. Anyways, that's also why I haven't really thought much about this trip.

...until two days ago when my mother showed me the visa documents. Damn, we're really going.

So people, here's a little announcement:

Between DECEMBER 7th TO DECEMBER 29th, Ambassador Language Course will be taking a break. I think it's providence that most classes will have ended by the 6th. Classes will resume on the 30th for those who need them. If you plan to take a break and do your own traveling, let me know when you will be ready to start again. I will make sure you get a time slot if you choose to resume your lessons in early-mid January.

Take care, all. Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays!

NB. This will be my first trip ever to the koala continent. If you've been there and you have any advice, don't be shy!

I WANT TO DO THIS!!
